Guests will then visit Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina, Coleman Hall & Chapel and I'On Meeting House for tastings, tours and much more!

The outdoor venues at historic Middleton Place provide ideal wedding ceremony locations. For an intimate gathering or a grand affair, Middleton Place can create the perfect event. The beautiful Middleton Oak, which is estimated to be more than 900 years old, and with the Ashley River in the background, the natural beauty of the ancient oak contrasts with the manicured gardens to offer a site of uncommon magnificence. The Secret Gardens provide a more formal venue. Consisting of two separate gardens, the smaller of the two offers an intimate outdoor setting delineated by carefully groomed hedges.
The larger of the Secret Gardens, embellished by four marble statues, offers an al fresco room framed by tones and textures of green foliage. Adjacent to the Sundial Garden and the Middleton Oak, the Octagonal Garden is an ideal wedding site. The Ashley River provides a romantic backdrop while the carefully manicured boxwoods define the pathways.

Nestled amongst moss-draped oak trees, Charleston's finest wedding and event venue, Coleman Hall & Chapel, is a jewel-box location for weddings and private events. With its classical lines modeled on landmark Charleston churches, Coleman Chapel greets visitors with traditional red doors, a slate roof, and copper downspouts. The chapel features a two-story soaring interior, with gracious Palladian windows and vintage oak pews. This elegant, light-filled space is completely free of religious symbols, allowing weddings to be customized for individual beliefs and to suit personal preferences. The chapel offers excellent acoustics, eliminating the need for amplification or sound equipment. A balcony within the chapel was specially designed to accommodate the needs of photographers and videographers to easily capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments.
Coleman Hall, adjacent to the chapel, is the perfect setting for wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, parties, corporate meetings, or social gatherings. The spacious room is centered around a brick fireplace, features open-beam vaulted ceilings, and a handsome custom-made wood bar where guests can be welcomed with a special libation. French doors open into the walled courtyard, a quaint and secluded setting for guests to mingle under the spreading branches of a signature oak tree. Iron gates and garden walls covered with jasmine wrap guests in the warm embrace of the Lowcountry, as they linger under the stars, or sit on vintage pews under the portico.
The I’On Meeting House event venue is located in the romantic heart of a celebrated Lowcountry neighborhood, just over the Cooper River from downtown Charleston. This open, welcoming venue space offers the perfect back drop for events and milestone celebrations of all kinds; an intimate wedding, a small soiree, or a reunion. The I’On Meeting House venue is also available for receptions, seminars, and business meetings. The inspirational space can accommodate 114 seated guests with a standing wedding party of 20. Located in the heart of the I'On Community, The lawn area provides space for a tent site should an outdoor option be on your wish list.
