Charleston, January 31, 2015

On Saturday, January 31, 2015, Scarlet Plan & Design took over 50 engaged couples on tours of four of Charleston's most beloved and iconic wedding venues.  We visited The Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina, Boone Hall Plantation, the Historic Rice Mill and Upstairs at Midtown for tours, tastings and so much more!  Check out the video and some of the highlights from the Tour below!  Hope to see you on the next one!

BOONE HALL PLANTATION

By letting the things you and your fiance love inspire your wedding design theme, your personalities become infused in the design and everything becomes so much more personal!  Boone Hall Plantation featured a Wes Anderson and travel inspired Rustic Bohemian Tuscan design by Sara Skinner & Regis Byrd on their Back Patio.  The "Man Lounge" was inspired by Teddy Roosevelt and featured a live cigar roller, a bourbon bar and loads of awesome taxidermy inside a vintage Airstream.

THE HISTORIC RICE MILL

The Coastal Romance design featured at The Historic Rice Mill was inspired by Senior Planner Alicia Wallace's love of the open water and, believe it or not, oysters!  Much like most of Alicia's weddings, this design was timeless, clean and effortlessly elegant.  With unexpected details pulling it all together, it was coastal without being too nautical or beachy.

UPSTAIRS AT MIDTOWN

Senior Designer Amy Feminella's Foraged Fairytale wedding was something right out of a storybook.  Featuring only foraged greenery in lieu of traditional flowers right down to the cake, bouquet and even the plate chargers, this design was anything but traditional! CHARLESTON HARBOR RESORT & MARINA

Our last venue on the Tour featured a fun, fresh Kate Spade inspired wedding designed by Sara Skinner.  Starting with black, white, and gold we then added loads of bright and cheery pinks, fuschias, greens and oranges. Photography by The Click Chick Photography.
